Community Health Education,
Giveaway & Back To School Distribution
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2024 | 10am - 2pm
It is that time again for Project HOPE Charities annual event which supports families with school supplies as they prepare to send their kids back to a new school year, discourage dropout rates and lower family stress level leading to reduced crimes and violence in our community.
During our Community Health Education, Giveaway & Back to School Distribution Outreach, we provide health services and give out educational and back-to-school materials to the needy in our community, and an average of 500 families from all ages and races are helped during this annual event. Most of them leave encouraged, revived and more hopeful about their tomorrow. We also follow up on them after the event and guide them in their transition to a more stable life.
PHC uses this forum to discuss the importance of continued education as we motivate the community to focus on their early education thus leading to better, more productive and fulfilling lives. In the last four years, well over 1,500 backpacks have been distributed to more than 300 children in need in our community who also receive other school supplies and children's books each year.
This event is FREE to the public and no child will be left behind. Please keep in mind that CHILDREN MUST BE PHYSICALLY PRESENT TO RECEIVE School Supplies and bags will be given away on a first come, first served basis, so bring all your children.
A special thanks to our sponsors, Anthem BlueCross BlueShield, City Harvest, Emblem Health, Church World Services, Feed the Children, and The Abiding Word Ministries International, for the school supplies and food items that will be distributed during this event.
